  • Error: Access Violation at 0x7F2DA9AB...

...(tried to read from 0x03C90000), program terminated.

Using IE 6.0 and build 1010. I'm trying to index .docs, but fails after prcessing and scanning one. I have reinstalled. Doesn't seem to be corrupt docs, because I've specified different sets with same result. PDF works.

Get the latest build (4.0.1011) available from here:
    http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/whatsnew.html

Once you have installed the latest build, run the indexer again, but this time from the Start -> Run window, with the following command:

    "C:\Program Files\Zoom Search Engine 4.0\ZoomIndexer.exe" -d

Note that the double quotes are required, and that you should change the path to where you have installed Zoom.

Load up your config file (if it is not already loaded) and run the index again. After it crashes, you should find a file named "debuglog.txt" in your Zoom program folder. Please send this file along with your configuration (.zcfg) file, to us via e-mail (see our Contact Us page) so that we can take a closer look. If possible, send us the DOC file that it is crashing on as well.
