  • Indexing Sites, Include CGi Script, MB RAM Limit

    Dear Wrensoft Team,

I am indexing my Websites now. Wondering if I later want to add an URL to be indexed- will I have to re-index everything? Or can I load an index configuration and just add Urls.

Is there a way around the MBRAM Limit if you index in several steps?

Including the CGI-Version of the search page into HTML works through right?
Will I have to name the HTML File somehow differently -like shmtl or sth. ?
Is there anything else I have to take into consideration?

    Thank you

You will have to re-index the whole site. We'll be looking at ways to provide more incremental indexing in the future.

You can't "break up" indexing to several steps at the moment, but you can split your site up into separate sections (each with their own search page and set of index files).

As for including the CGI version from a HTML page, you'll need:

Also be sure to set the "Link back URL" in your Indexer configuration. For more information, refer to this FAQ:
