    It took me a while to realise that highlight.js cannot be placed in the cgi-bin folder with the other zoomsearch files. I hope this message saves someone else the time that I wasted.

    This is true, but only for most Apache servers. The default behaviour on Apache servers is to only allow CGI scripts to be accessed from the "cgi-bin" directory.
