Title = "Asking the donor to provide additional information"
Search for:
"asking" = 2 results
"asking the" = 2 results
"asking the donor" = 2 results
"asking the donor to" = No results found.
"asking donor" = 2 results
Javascript version; "All search words" selected
We are scheduled to implement on 4/1/05.

I am guessing you are skipping indexing of words less than three characters in the Zoom configuration window.
Or the word "to" is in your skip list.
See the "Skip options" tab in the Zoom configuration window.

To change the skip settings and fix your problem.

The skip settings will solve my problem? Is there a setting for "Do not show 'No results found' when a search string is entered that contains a keyword between two skipped words"? If there is I don't see it.

Well it is hard to be sure, becuase you didn't actually state what your problem was.
I am only assuming that your problem was that you expected to get some results but instead got no results.
You also didn't give much information about what settings you selected, but I am guessing that the skip word settings are what is causing the no results output.
But my assumptions and guesses might be wrong.
No we don't have a setting for, "Do not show 'No results found' when a search string is entered that contains a keyword between two skipped words"
Update: Depending on your settings I agree that the output might not be what is expected for the Javascript options if the words "the" and "to" are in your skip list. We'll look into it a bit deeper.

I guess I assumed you read the original subject line:
"No results found when keyword separates two skip words"
"Donor" is not a skip word; it is a keyword.
"Asking" is not a skip word; it is a keyword.
"the" is a skip word.
"to" is a skip word.
I receive no results when I enter "Asking the donor to"
But, I receive results when I enter "Asking the donor"

This is a bug in the current Javascript search. We'll fix this in version 4.1 (due in a few weeks time).
In the mean time, you may want to disable or remove the skip words in your "Skip options", if these searches are important. These searches will then go through. The size of index data will increase a bit, but it should not be too drastic.
