  • Excel files open in browser

    Greetings Wrensoft,
Excel files that are displayed from a search result are opened in an Internet Explorer browser window. Can these files be opened in the actual Excel program?
FYI, .dwg files open in their viewing program and not the IE browser window. .pdf files open in a separate Acrobat Professional window.
    Thank you.

This is entirely dependant on your settings in Windows, and how Excel and Internet Explorer is setup on your computer. You should find that clicking on any other links to XLS files from your browser would have the same behaviour. It is not related to Zoom and you can not control how other visitors of your website (or users of your CD) will open the file.

However, if you just want to do this on your own computer, I believe you can do so by opening Windows Explorer (not IE), clicking on the "Tools" menu -> "Folder Options" -> select "XLS" -> click "Advanced" -> and disable "Browse in same window".
