I received the following errors when I inadvertently scheduled two indexing tasks at the same time.
...
07:33:03 - Estimated RAM required during index process: 24403 KB
07:33:03 - [PLUGIN] Processing PDF file \\marge\intranet\SOPs\3300\3300.01.pdf
07:33:03 - [SCANNED] Scanning \\marge\intranet\SOPs\3300\3300.01.pdf
07:33:03 - [WARNING] Failed to delete temporary plugin input file (System error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. )
07:33:04 - [PLUGIN] Processing PDF file \\marge\intranet\SOPs\3300\3300.02.pdf
07:33:04 - [SCANNED] Scanning \\marge\intranet\SOPs\3300\3300.02.pdf
07:33:04 - [WARNING] Failed to delete temporary plugin input file (System error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. )
...

No .js files were created for one of the tasks leaving zero results. Would a warning be possible for tasks near or scheduled for the same time?

Yes, this would be a problem if you have scheduled two indexing tasks which happens to occur simultaneously. You should never allow this to happen and make sure you schedule plenty of time between them.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way for us to determine if two indexing tasks may overlap. While we may be able to prevent tasks which share the exact same schedule, it is much harder to determine if two tasks may overlap - since the time it takes for an indexing session can vary greatly.

For example, you may have two indexing sessions scheduled within 5 minutes of each other. However, if the first session takes longer than 5 minutes, then they will overlap. But we do not know in advance how long the first session will take.
