  • Search with OR if not ALL found

Is it possible to change the software so it makes a ALL search and if it doesn´t find ANY results it changes to the search to a OR search automatically?

This would be an awesome feature if it is not supported yet?

At the moment, the PHP, ASP and CGI search functions all display a message (and link) to search by "match any search word" if the current search is a boolean AND search and does not return more than 3 results. eg. "You can possibly get more results searching for any of the terms".

We've just noticed that this message is missing in the Javascript version and will update this in V4.1. I presume you are using the Javascript version and thus missing this message?

We don't think making it automatically switch to boolean OR would be a good idea, because it may confuse users who were expecting "no results" when they specifically requested "match all search words". The suggestion message would seem to suffice in providing users the choice.
