GREAT product, we'll start with that - lol.

My client has a travel website that includes hundreds of properties, but uses variables in the link (e.g. query variables xxx=123). I can easily index the property pages from our sitemaps (prop.asp?SID=1234) but I want to exclude the pages that include any other variables (prop.asp?SID=1234&CID=4321 or prop.asp?pax=3&SID=1234).

Is there any easy way to do this, or do I just have to leave it large and slow, and manually exclude individual pages, which doesn't actually remove them from the index? (From what I have read...I may have misunderstood.)

I MUST be missing something.

Julie

(P.S. If I have to manually delete any page-with-variables that I don't want, it'll still be tons better in MY book that anything I've seen out there at five times the price.)

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Just add the unwanted variables to the page & folder skip list.

See also this FAQ page for a similar example of skipping unwanted pages while indexing forums (http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support/msgboards.html).
