PDF Plug-in for CD & website search

hi there,

i'm looking to add search functionality to a project that appears as both a website and a cd. i would obviously like to have a straightforward website that can then be copied to cd for distribution.

i'm about to add lots of pdfs to the project which, as i understand it, would involve a plug-in. would installing zoom v5 with a plugin work on both the website and on a cd ? is the plug-in standalone ?

any suggestions gratefully received.

The plugin is only required during the indexing step. Once the index is built, then the plug-in is not longer required when doing a search.
