Zdat and js files wont upload

Ok i think its because of the "Free" servers, i need some help though, whenever i try to update the .zdat files or js files for java, they upload but doesnt appear in directory and its not accepted, i am using php enabled hosts but out of several i have tried it wont upload those specific files (html and everything else uploads) i need some help here, thank you, one told me it was a bad extension

It prob is the hosts, can anyone recommend a good free host that these files would upload to?

We use Pair for most of our hosting.
www.pair.com

They are not the cheapest, but have been stable and provide good support. But they run BSD Unix on their servers. So for implementing some of the more complicated things some knowledge of Linux or Unix can help.
