Embedding Script

Please can somebody explain what the above does and which script to include in this box.

i.e. say if i use the cgi version, and i want to access the search.cgi using an 'include(search.cgi?$string);' in search.php.

What would the link back script be?

and say if I went to page 2, would everything work fine?
