Exclude file types when searching

I have just joined the Wrensoft community, wish I had found this search engine before.

My initial setup has indexed just under 8000 files including a few thousand images. This is a useful function for people looking for images, but could be a pain for those who do not want images returned in their search result.

Is there a way to exclude images from a search, or just search for images.

Create categories.
Then users can select the category they want to search.
