search box on all/other pages?

This is perhaps a simple task, but I was wondering how to add a search box on other pages (frontpage 03). I tried to just add a textbox as a peice of a form which posts to the search.asp page. This didn't work. I didn't really expect it to but this is all I can think (not too sharp with asp yet). Anyway, does anyone know how I can accomplish this?
