Japanese search not returning results

I am running v6 and indexing in offline mode using JavaScript script output and cannot get any results to come up in my search for Japanese. I see my index .js file has indexed multiple files, so that is not the issue. All files (search.html, config file, etc.) all use UTF-8, so I don't think it is a charset issue either. I have run Chinese and Korean, and both of those languages work, but I cannot get Japanese to work.

I also have the "single case" and "substring match" options checked in the config file.

Is there something I am not checking? What could be the issue?

It is hard to know what the issue is without knowing the search words and having a copy of the index files. If you want zip up the files and E-Mail them to us (http://www.wrensoft.com/contactus.html).
