search_template.asp instead of search_template.html

Why can't i use search_template.asp instead of search_template.html ?
When i do this, source code is shown.

This doesn't work becuase we never designed it to work this way.

I assume you want to rename the file in order to include some of your own ASP code in the template?

There is a better method to do this. See the FAQ here,
