installation problems

Hi,

I'm trying the this software, and I have a few questions:

1. I use Front Page extensions to upload contents. Zoom Search prompts me to use ftp, which I understand can mess up my extensions. What should I do?

2. Say that I have already updated the files... How do I set up a search box on my website index page?

3. What's the difference between the free version and the paying version of this software?

Using FTP to upload the Zoom files to your site should have no effect on Front Page extensions.

I think you might be refering to a Front Page problem that is related to uploading the same file with FP and a 3rd party FTP tool. But if you never use FP to upload Zoom files, you should be fine.

Once you have uploaded the files you can just link to the script, e.g. search.asp, and it will create the search form for you. See that FAQ,
