I use ZOOM on a site that sells tools and hardware. Looking at our logs I find many people using search terms like 1/2" hammer drill.

The bad thing about this is that ZOOM sees the 1/2 as 1 2 and then ignores the 1 2 as "common words" and eliminates them from the search.

Is there any way for the end user to use quotes or some other method to look for 1/2", 3/4" etc?

Is there something I can configure on the engine to make this happen? I use the CGI version so my ability to alter code is impossible (I'm assuming)

We're adding "Slashes" to the word join character options (in the "Indexing Options" tab of the Configuration window) in the upcoming Version 5.0 (which is looking at a release in or around July).

When this option is enabled, it will allow Zoom to index "1/2", "either/or" or "1\2" as one word and not splitted into two.
