    Default Print2 Flash

Does the program index "flashpaper or print2flash" documents like it does PDF files?

Also does it read pages that are made in flash like the ones using Wild Presenter which is a Wildform product

    http://www.wildform.com

    Thanks

Yes for the text in Flashpaper, but you need the Shockwave Flash plug-in from the plug-in page.

If Wild Presenter creates standard Flash files, then Zoom should index the text in these files.

Note that only text is indexed. Vector graphics, images, etc.. in the Flash file are not indexed.

The actual details to that question might be best answered by the Print2Flash people. They do have a page here which compares the two:
    http://print2flash.com/flashpapercompare.php

Having said that, we had a look at some of their sample documents, such as this one: http://print2flash.com/samples/sample2.php and they look very similar to FlashPaper.

One thing to note is that page uses Javascript to link to the embedded document. I'm not sure if this is necessary for Print2Flash to work, or if it's just the way they implemented this particular sample page. But the depedency on Javascript makes that page spider unfriendly, and it means that the page cannot be crawled using spider mode to find the .swf file. Indexing from Offline Mode (where you will index the .swf files on your local disk directly) will work though.

The actual Paper2Flash .SWF file seem to index just fine with our Flash plugin. We tested this by indexing the SWF embedded within the abovementioned page, which is actually:
    http://print2flash.com/samples/sample2.swf

All text content was extracted, indexed and searchable using Zoom 5.1 and the Flash plugin.
