Search by EXIF date

I wish to allow searchers to find an event ny the EXIF date recorded in camera (Canon 1D and descendants) - but have been unable experimentally to find a format for the search which works. Is this possible anyone ? Sorry if it's been dealt with before - a lot to learn and search doesn't show it as a thread, Cheers

Q. How do I search for images with specific technical information, for example all images with width 800 pixels shot using a Sony camera?

To search for all images with width 800, use "Width:800". To search for all pictures taken with a Sony camera, use "Make:Sony". Hence, to combine the 2, you will use "Width:800 Make:Sony" as your search words.

So to search for the date a photo was taken, use this as a search query,
DateTaken:2007-07-04
(assuming you want to search for photos taken on 4th July 2007).

I quick check on 3 different camera's showed that the Canon Powershot filled out this date data correctly. But a Nikon D80 didn't, nor did an Olympus U-MiniD. So your mileage may vary.
