  • Beginning characters are getting stripped out from the result description

    Hi,

Can anybody help me in figuring out that why the results (coming via zoom) are not proper, i.e description part is not correct, it strips out the beginning words from the description.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Thanks in Advance

Could be corruption of the index file, or might be syntax problems on your HTML pages, or just confusion between the page description and the page context.

What is the URL for the search function and the search word you are using, so we can see the problem?

It all looks OK to me.
Why do you think there is a problem?
        What is missing?

Problem is something is missing before procedures and aftercarethe dotted part)

<zoom:context> ... procedures and aftercare: Other specified procedures and aftercare: Fitting and adjustment of vascular catheter Removal or replacement of catheter Toilet or cleansing Excludes: complications of renal dialysis ...</zoom:context>

I think this is just confusion between the page description and the page context. It is normal the the context doesn't contain all the text on the page.

The context description only shows a portion of the page's text, around where the searched word was found. That's why it begins and ends with "..." - that's normal.

It does not necessarily show the entire meta description (if the word found was within the meta description) nor the entire page content (obviously - or your search results would be very long and impossible to sift through).

If you still think there is a problem, you really need to say exactly what text you are expecting to see, and also show us the actual page being indexed (which we can't see here because it requires a login).
