search logs

In my search logs I note that if someone does a search where a word includes a period symbol, no results are displayed. The search in question is for st. louis

If the search is for st louis the results are displayed correctly.

Is there a way to avoid this issue or can I include help text for doing the searches?

Are you using V4? (as indicated by your posting in the old V4 forum).

Note that the latest version is V6 (and here's the corresponding V6 forum).

We do not know of such behaviour in V6. If you are still using V4, consider upgrading to the latest version. V4 is no longer supported but there is a final build here if you are using an earlier build.
