  • Output directory growing...

I was using zoom (build 4.1004) and I noticed that as I was indexing, the output directory was increasing in size, does this mean we can pause and switch off our pc's then resume?

    Thank you

No. Although Zoom is writing to the output directory during the indexing procedure, this does not mean it can be resumed after closing down the application and shutting off your PC.

At best, you can probably pause indexing, and then Hibernate your PC. This is a Windows XP or later feature which saves everything in memory to disk, and then shuts down the PC. When you turn on your PC again, it will reload everything back into memory, allowing you to continue from exactly where you were (as though the PC was never shut off). With this, you can probably pause indexing, NOT exit Zoom, hibernate your PC, then turn it back on later and continue indexing, but we have not tested this ourselves.
