  • Search results work within frame in Firefox but not IE

    Hi,

For our organization, we would like to put up a search engine on the left hand side which is our left frame. After putting this in, the search results work fine and appear in the parent window for FireFox. However, in Internet Explorer, this does not work. It instead tries to find the search page within the "left hand frame" page.

Try it for yourselves in both browsers, and search for something:
(Please ignore the layout and design of the site, this is just a test page that I produced to show you)

Is there an adjustment that can be made to apply the IE fix?

    Thanks guys!

The problem is because your search form HTML is invalid. You are missing a </form> tag to close your <form> tag.

You should use a HTML validator to check for broken links and bad HTML.
