Is it possible for a link to be on my site and the script spiders to that site and search that site as well.

For example. IF my site is MYSITE.COM and on my home page I have GREATSITE.COM can the search script search that site as well?

Yes it is. There are a couple of ways to do this.

1.) If you want all links between the two sites to be indexed, the best way would be to use multiple base URLs.
For example, you may have a start point of "http://www.mysite.com/" with a base URL of "http://www.mysite.com/;http://www.greatsite.com/". This would allow all links between the two domains to be followed by the spider.

2.) If you only want links from a particular page to be followed, and to any external sites, then you should select that start point (by clicking on "More" and "Edit" in the Spider tab) and select the "Index page and follow internal and external links" option.

3.) If you simply wish to index a collection of different websites, you can do this by adding additional start points to each site.

See the Users Guide for more information on the above features:

    Hope that helps.

PS. You have posted this same question twice in our forums, and you have also sent it to us as a support email. Please understand that it would be much preferred if you only sent it to us once, as it avoids the chances of more than one of us here at Wrensoft taking the time out to answer your question (and wasting time by repeating the work).
