Zoom is idexing my menus!!!

Search result descriptions, below the link in the results, only shows the text from my menus. This means every search result, pages of them, have unique links, but the descriptions are identical, meaningless and unusable. The menu is simple text links driven by external js, but the links are plainly links on each page. I deselected "link text" under Indexing Options, and it has had no effect. This is unacceptable, a real deal-breaker. If I can't restrict what gets indexed on a page, by <DIV> or some other means, this product is totally unusable. Please advise how to bypass this serious flaw in default settings. Thanks.
