  • Zoom and Shared Hosting/Server...

Hi! I don't have a dedicated server, and my server is Linux, so how can I use Zoom?
Do I need to download my website to any PC with Windows and run indexer there? (and then upload the index...)

    Regards!
    Enrique.

You don't need a dedicated server to run Zoom. And you can certainly use a Linux server.

You run the Indexer on a Windows PC. Then upload the index to the server.

You can index the website via Spider Mode (so it will crawl pages via HTTP, like a browser would).

Or use Offline Mode, if you have a local copy of the website on your computer.

If your website has dynamically generated pages (using a server-side script like .php, .asp, .aspx, .cf, ... etc.) then you must use Spider Mode to crawl the pages properly.

Let us know if you have further questions.

        See this FAQ
        Q. How can I use Zoom to index my site stored in a database (eg. SQL, Access, etc.)?
