  • Search results for php pages prompt user to save

I've got Zoom up and running on the site, bought the pro edition yesterday, and it seems to be working fine with one issue.

We have both static and PHP pages on our site, the search results for html pages when clicked open the page as expected, but the links for PHP in the results prompt the user to save the link.

Zoom seems to be adding something to the URL for the PHP pages.

The links generated by my site are displayed as this:
    http://www.mydomain.com/kbase/users/kb.php?id=10263&category_id=2&

But the search results link to this:
    http://www.mydomain.com/kbase/users/kb.php?op=save&id=10263&category_id=2&zoom_highlig ht=droid

It appears Zoom is inserting "op=save" after the file extension into the link it displays.

    Any help is appreciated.

Zoom doesn't change the URL (except by adding the highlight parameter, &zoom_highlight=).

So I think these URLs must be found on your site. Maybe you have links on the pages to print or save them?

You could probably find the page with the links if you carefully look through the Zoom log.

You might have the URL appearing twice, once with and once without the extra parameter. In this case it is easy to block with the skip list.

Thank you, that set me on the right path. I added the "op=" to the skip list and cut out the erroneous results. Works great now, I really like this product so far BTW, seems very intuitive and clean.
