  • ASP.NET IIS 7.5 Error

    Hello,
I am implementing Zoom Search into an ASP.NET web application.
I am using Visual Studio 2010 as my IDE, and IIS 7.5 as the web server.

Everything is working great in Visual Studio 2010. When I run/debug the web application, everything works great.

However, when I publish the site to IIS 7.5, I get this error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'ZoomASPX' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format."

    I have read this FAQ:
    http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support/faq_aspdotnet.html

In addition, I have read the Chapter 3.2 section of the user guide.

Unfortunately, I found nothing to remedy the situation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    This FAQ
    http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support/faq_aspdotnet.html
does in fact cover this exact error. What did you try to fix the problem? Are you running on a 32bit or 64bit server?

This post also contains some additional information.

If you still have a problem can you let us know exactly what version of the ASP.NET MSI you are using. There was a new release a few days ago on the 30/June/2011.

Make sure you have setup in IIS and converted the folder to an application.

Remember if you have installed the server control and done these steps on your test/development machine, you will need to do these again on the live web server.

And as noted, make sure you have the latest server control (from here) installed. Uninstall the previous version first, if otherwise.

        Thanks,
        I have resolved the issue.

Started everything from scratch followed all the online procedures, and low and behold, got it to work.

        Thanks again,
        Jeff

See the Users Guide for information on using the ASP platform of Zoom. See this FAQ for information on Classic ASP.
