  • Flash ?

I want to use Flash to handle user queries instead of the HTML form, is this possible. I want the user to type into an input box then have Flash send what the user typed to PHP. Does anyone know how to code that in Flash?

My zoom PHP file is located at http://www.1hdl.x10.mx/search.php

My group only allows 4000 characters to be used for HTML requests and I'm just under the limit so using HTML is not an option. Thanks in advance.

Don't know why I didn't think of this before. I can just create a link to search.php and open it in a new window, problem solved. No need for Flash.

Glad to hear you've found a solution. Yes, you can just link to the search page. You could also make a HTML search form, as described here (not sure what you mean by a character limit on HTML requests):
      Q. How do I put search forms on pages besides the search page? (Or define my own search form?)

The Flash search form is usually only needed if the rest of your website is in Flash, and you wanted the search box inside the Flash interface.
