  • Wordpress Indexing

    Hi

Part of our site is a wordpress blog. Is it possible to be able to index the posts, but not ay other pages (such as the index/rolling pages)

    Ie.

news.example.co.uk/?p=123 - would get indexed as it is a single post
news.example.co.uk/?m=201301 - would not show up in the results list as its a monthly archive page, yet the indexer would scan links to find the individual posts?

Under "Skip options" add an entry for:

    ?m=

This will skip all URLs containing this string. And so the latter page will not be indexed.

Alternatively, if you can add meta tags to certain pages, you can use the meta robots tag to indicate which pages should be "noindex".
