  • Aggregating indexes compiled in offline and spider modes

Is there a way to aggregate indexes compiled twice, once in offline mode, and once in spider mode?

We currently index about 80% of web server content from local hard disk synchronized mirror copies of that content, for speed and ease of access. The remaining content cannot be copied to a local disk, and we have to use the spider mode to index it.

Short answer is no. It isn't possible.

Longer answer is that we had a old product call MasterNode which might have helped. But we haven't touched it for the best part of 10 years. Changes of getting it working well on a modern system are low. The product was never popular and we discontinued development & made it open source.

I had indeed looked into MasterNode in the past, but as you said, getting it working on our network was problematic, and I don't have the resources at the moment to get around those issues. Anyway thanks for making it open source.
